Instrument making and Music Publishing Show

Welcome and functioning

Going to Asfeld : Asfeld is located 25 km north of Reims - 175 km from Paris - 195 km from Brussels. The road is the easiest and most convenient way to get there. Think about car sharing solutions !

Place of the show : you will be installed in the event hall which is located in the center of the village just next to the Town Hall. The room was totally renovated in 2018 and new spaces were built. You can easily reach it by car and you will not have any difficulty to park and unload your equipment.

 

Exhibitor welcome : you can start installing your stand on Saturday between 8am and 10:30pm. Your exhibitor badge will be given at the entrance of the hall. Your stand must be ready for the opening of the show on Saturday at 11am.

Inauguration : the inauguration of the show will take place on Saturday at 11am in the presence of elected officials of the Region, the Department, the Community of Communes and the Commune.

Opening hours to the public : the Show will be open to the public for 2 days: Saturday from 11:30am to 7pm without interruption and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Public admission to the show is free

Instrument Testing : You will have two studios in enclosed spaces.

Guarding : the show will be guarded by a specialized company during the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Concert tickets : all exhibitors benefit from semi-fare tickets for Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon concerts. Tickets can be booked in advance at the secretariat of the Festival patrimoine.asfeld@orange.fr

Booths

Size : the standard size of the booth is 1m80 x 1m80. We also have a limited number of double booths (3m60 x 1m80). 

Layout : booths are delimited by panels (trellis) that you can customize and on which it is easy to hang engravings or fabrics and hang instruments.

Rates : the below rates are for the 3 days

- Simple booth : 130 EUR

- Double booth : 200 EUR

Payment is to be done by bank tranfer or by check after filling the registration form by the link on this page.

Activities in the show

The main activity of the show is the exhibition and sale of instruments, bow and music scores, but we want this place to be also an attractive place of exchanges. For this, we have implemented activities whose success has been demonstrated in previous editions.

Listening of instruments : professional musicians take turns to play a few minutes in public and in an auditorium your instruments and your bows. You are of course invited to present your work, the instrument, the bow, or your workshop ...

Registration required when booking your stand. A contribution of 10 euros is asked per session (20 minutes).

The Luthiers workshop : a wooden workbench is located near the entrance of the show and allows luthiers and bow makers who wish to demonstrate their work and answer questions from the public. We strongly encourage you to bring your work in progress !

On-site self-service registration

Mini Conferences : In alternate with instrument listening, the auditorium (equipped with video projector and screen) allows luthiers, bow makers, publishers and professional musicians to make a presentation on a theme of their choice. The recommended duration of these mini conferences is 30 minutes, without exceeding 1 hour. Feel free to share your ideas of conferences or debates !

Accomodation and catering

Asfeld has reduced accommodation capacity. It is easier to stay in the surroundings : Reims (many hotels), Rethel, Laon (30 minutes by car) and in the Bed & Breakfast of the region.

Motorhomes and caravans can park in the village of Asfeld. It is also possible to pitch your tent for free at the nearby football stadium. Showers are available.

Some homestays are also possible. Make the preliminary request during your reservation.

 

A catering stand is set up throughout the duration of the festival. You can enjoy your meals at a moderate price and in a friendly atmosphere. Reservations will be made in advance with the secretariat of the Festival patrimoine.asfeld@orange.fr

 

A fast food stand also offers sandwiches and drinks without prior reservation.

Others

Insurance : each exhibitor must be covered by a liability insurance policy. Each exhibitor is responsible for the objects he presents to the public.

 

Official program of the Festival : an official program of the Festival will be published. The names, activities and addresses of all exhibitors will appear as they appear on your registration form. To give you more visibility, you can also include a color advertising insert in business card format, priced at 50 €. To be specified during your reservation

 

Festival advertising : the Festival organizes an advertising campaign in different media, but the success of this event depends largely on the personal commitment of all participants. We think we can count on you to bring your friends, acquaintances and customers to Asfeld. We will have flyers to distribute: just ask us.
